Tuttosport is reporting that Inter Milan plan to recruit a new central defender in the January transfer window.
The Nerazzurri are short of quality options in the heart of defence, with veteran Andrea Ranocchia and youngster Zinho Vanheusden the only back-ups for Joao Miranda and Milan Skriniar.
Considering that the Belgian footballer recently suffered a knee injury, Inter Milan are looking to sign a new centre-back in the winter.
Having made a €24 million loss last season, the Nerazzurri don’t have a lot of money to spend in January, but they should be able to raise cash for a centre-back considering that Alex Teixeira should arrive on a free transfer.
The Brazilian currently plies his trade at Jiangsu Suning, the club also owned by Suning Group, and there should be no obstacles to him joining in January.
