According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Inter Milan are more than willing to wait until next summer in order to complete the signing of Edin Dzeko from Roma. The spirited forward would become a free agent during the 2020 summer transfer window, whereas this year, he would probably cost Inter a substantial fee. While Dzeko isn’t exactly a spring chicken anymore he’s certainly still a high level forward, to the point where Inter are quite clearly very confident in his abilities.
Inter are set to have a pretty ruthless summer, as they’ve already made moves for a series of world class players. With their end goal clearly being to go after Juventus and the Serie A title, it’s interesting to see just how much time they’re committing to their transfer dealings.
One thing is for sure, even if they can’t secure Dzeko this summer, it seems as if they’ve got a pretty bright future ahead of them.
