Portuguese daily newspaper Record claims that Inter Milan and Valencia are among clubs showing interest in Benfica striker Kostas Mitroglou.
The Greek forward has been one of club’s star performers ever since he arrived from Fulham, bagging 33 goals in 55 Primeira Liga outings.
His excellent showings clearly did not go unnoticed, with Inter Milan and Valencia believed to be leading the chase for his signature.
Representatives of the two clubs were present as Benfica and FC Porto squared off in the title decider at the weekend, but it remains to be seen whether they will come forward with official proposals ahead of the summer transfer window.
While Valencia are desperate to recruit a high-quality centre forward, Inter Milan want back-up for star striker Mauro Icardi and they both see the 29-year-old as a very good option.
Mitroglou has a deal until June 2020 at Estadio da Luz and his release clause is €40 million.
