According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan are preparing a surprise offer to sign Roberto Firmino.
The Liverpool star, who has been at the club since making the move over from Hoffenheim in 2015, is set to depart Anfield at the end of the current campaign. While he’s still able to make waves for the Reds, he’s no longer the guaranteed first teamer that he once was.
Inter Milan, meanwhile, have had a mixed campaign. They’re still alive in both the Coppa Italia and the Champions League, but they are floundering down in fifth position in Serie A.
They clearly want to strengthen when we get to the summer transfer window, and Firmino is someone they have their eye on.
The Brazilian is only 31 years old and in Italy, you’d imagine he would be able to have a greater impact than he’s had in England in the last few years.
