According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Inter Milan are still interested in trying to sign Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
Giroud, who played a vital role in helping the Blues to beat Rennes in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week, has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge for quite some time now. While it does seem inevitable that he will go elsewhere, Frank Lampard has reiterated that he believes Giroud is still an important part of his first team squad.
The key behind Inter getting him would, as a result, be to convince Frank Lampard that he should sell him. His recent interviews suggest that this is going to be easier said than done, and it may be something that cannot be resolved in the January transfer window and will therefore need to be pushed back until next summer. Either way, Inter aren’t going away anytime soon.
