According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan are willing to sell Gabriel Barbosa to Flamengo for a fee of around £16 million. The youngster made just 10 appearances for Inter during his spell with the club which, technically speaking, is still ongoing.
He has been out on loan at Flamengo as of late and has certainly been making his case for a full time return to his homeland at some stage.
Barbosa is still young enough to succeed on the world stage and while some would disagree with that, he certainly seems to be rediscovering his form with Flamengo.
Not everyone is particularly suited to European football and while Inter may have paid £26 million for him when they purchased Gabriel from Santos, that was never going to be a guarantee of immediate success.
However, not giving him quite as many opportunities as he would’ve required was always going to be a hindrance.
