According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan and Manchester United have not yet agreed to a loan extension for Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean’s current loan deal has already been extended until August 5th, ensuring that it covers their Round of 16 game against Getafe in the UEFA Europa League. At this stage, however, it would not cover any future games in the competition this season.
It’s been a tough few years for the former Arsenal star, with bad form and injuries causing his stock to drop quite dramatically. It’s clear to see that Inter are more than willing to hand him a lifeline, but the right kind of deal needs to be made if they want to please United.
We’re living through incredibly uncertain times right now, as we all know, but you’d have to think this issue will need to be resolved sooner rather than later.
