Inter Milan are considering a loan move for Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic, La Gazzetta dello Sport has learned.
The Nerazzurri are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements and boss Walter Mazzarri has made the Montenegrin his number one target.
But, with Manchester City highly unlikely to sanction a sale, Inter will attempt to sign Jovetic on a season-long loan.
Manchester City won the race for the player’s signature last summer, but his early career at the Etihad was plagued by numerous injuries.
Jovetic, nonetheless, managed to show some potential in England, bagging 6 goals in less than 600 minutes of competitive football.
And with Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo still in front of him in the pecking order, the 24-year-old would probably be better off leaving the Etihad this summer.
Prior to moving to English Premier League, Jovetic had established himself as one of the best forwards in Italian Serie A.
