Inter Milan are believed to be showing interest in Cruzeiro midfielder Nilton, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri have been linked with John Obi Mikel and Casemiro as they search for a new holding midfielder, but the latest reports suggest the Brazilian footballer is also on their radar.
Nilton has developed into one of league’s best defensive midfielders and he is followed by Sevilla, Valencia and Lille as well.
Cruzeiro are reportedly prepared to cash in on their star player, with interested sides quoted a €5 million asking price.
Nilton came through the youth ranks at Corinthians, but left the club for Vasco da Gama after making just five league appearances.
Following several very successful seasons Estadio Club de Regatas, the midfielder moved to Cruzeiro in December 2012.
He has since amassed a total of 50 league appearances for the Brazilian giants and scored 7 goals in the process.
