Inter prepare assault on Guardiola

Inter president Massimo Moratti will try to persuade Pep Guardiola into joining the Neroazzurri, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Brazilian Leonardo no longer has the support of the club board, following the disappointing finish of the season and Massimo Moratti will do everything he can to bring the Barcelona boss to Giuseppe Meazza.

Pep Guardiola has already announced that he could leave Barca in the near future and he departure from Camp Nou could be speeded up if the Catalans win the Champions League title.

The Spaniard believes he has achieved everything he could with Barcelona and is thought to be looking for a new challenge.

Massimo Moratti will try to use Guardiola’s friend Roberto Baggio to convince the Barca coach that his future lies at Meazza.

Even though the talented coach has a contract with Barcelona until June 2012, it is believed that he would have no problems leaving the club at the end of the season.

Guardiola’s poor relationship with new president Sandro Rosell is another reason for his possible departure, while there are reports that he wouldn’t be able to refuse an offer from Massimo Moratti.

l think Pep seems to be a good coach coz he has world class players who have been playing together for a long time..bring him to Inter and see if he will survive against us(MILAN)

I’d have Pep at Newcastle if he fancies a real challenge! Then maybe Pardew could have the Barca job! haha

Slight correction as well, it should be ‘sped up’ rather than ‘speeded up’.
