Talk Sport are today reporting that Inter Milan are ready to make a bid for Tottenham target Giuseppe Rossi in the January transfer window.
The Italian is currently at Villarreal, who are now playing in the second tier of Spanish football after relegation from La Liga last season.
However, Rossi has not featured for a while now and missed Italy’s European Championship campaign with a knee ligament injury, which is likely to keep him out of action until the New Year.
It is being suggested that the Serie A outfit are hopeful of securing his services for as little as £5 million due to Villarreal’s current club status and the lengthy spell he has spent on the sidelines.
Rossi has been a long term target for Tottenham with previous manager Harry Redknapp being a big admirer of the forward.
The Spanish side were hoping to land around £15 million for their star man, but it looks as though Inter do not value him at that in this stage.
Rossi’s next club is sure to be one of the biggest stories in the next transfer window, with other English Premier League sides such as Manchester United also keeping tabs on him.
