Italian daily Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Inter are considering a summer bid for Bologna trequartista Alessandro Diamanti.
The Neroazzurri have long ago started preparing the squad for the 2013/2014 season, having already agreed to sign Hugo Campagnaro, Marco Andreolli and Diego Laxalt, with Mauro Icardi likely to follow.
Club officials are well aware the job is not finished yet and they are planning an assault on Bologna’s Alessandro Diamanti.
After both Wesley Sneijder and Philippe Coutinho left in January, the Neroazzurri are in desperate need of an advanced playmaker and they are confident Diamanti would be a perfect fit.
The Italy international has been in scintillating form at Renato Dall’Ara over the last year or so, and he is aware a move to Inter would increase his chances of holding on to a regular starting berth in the national team.
Diamanti’s agent recently suggested that his client could be moving clubs at the end of the season, although he won’t come on the cheap having extended his contract until June 2017.
