Inter Milan are preparing a January swoop for Atalanta striker German Denis, La Gazzetta dello Sport has revealed.
The Italian giants are keen to add another striker to the squad in the next transfer window to act as a back-up for Diego Milito.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Neroazzurri have made Atalanta forward German Denis their number one target and are set to make a move on the Argentine in January.
According to the same source, Inter plan to offer centre-back Matias Silvestre as part of the deal.
The experienced defender is currently on loan at Giuseppe Meazza from Palermo, but he has failed to live up to his potential.
The Neroazzurri officials believe cash plus player deal would prove enough to make Atalanta part ways from Denis, a player who has scored 18 goals in 39 Serie A games for the club from Bergamo.
