Italian giants Inter Milan have reignited their interest in Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri are expected to turn their attention to the Portuguese defender if they fail to reach an agreement with Galatasaray to sign Alex Telles outright.
Fabio Coentrao is currently on loan at Monaco, but he does not appear to have a long-term future at Santiago Bernabeu.
Nevertheless, a high asking price means that Inter would not be able to sign him on an outright transfer, but a season-long loan may be considered.
The 27-year-old has been in fine form this season, scoring 3 goals in 14 Ligue 1 outings, albeit experiencing plenty of injury problems during the current campaign.
If they fail to agree a deal for Coentrao, Inter Milan will turn their attention towards long-term target Domenico Criscito, who is believed to be eager to return to Italy.
