Inter step up interest in Salvio

Inter Milan are set to launch a fresh assault on Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio, according to A Bola.

The Argentine attacker has been linked with quite a few top sides in the past, but it would appear as though the Milan rivals lead the chase at the moment.

And while the Rossoneri reportedly have the right of first refusal, it is Inter Milan who are readying a January bid for the player’s services.

Even with Salvio’s release clause standing at €60 million at the moment, the latest reports suggest he could be available for €18 million this winter.

Meanwhile, Benfica have offered a new deal to the 24-year-old footballer despite the fact that he has almost three years left on his current contract.

Eduardo Salvio has been in fine form since joining the club on a permanent deal from Atletico Madrid two years back, having scored 13 goals in 49 league outings.
