Inter Milan are hoping to sign Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo in the summer transfer window, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
New Inter boss Walter Mazzarri plans to use Hugo Campagnaro and Juan Jesus in a three-man defence, with Water Samuel and Andrea Ranocchia to battle for the remaining starting berth.
However, he is somewhat short on numbers in the back line, which is why the Nerazzurri are readying bid for Sporting Lisbon full-back Marcos Rojo.
The 23-year-old can be used as a left centre-back or left full-back, while the fact he is Argentine certainly does not hurt his chances of arriving at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
It is believed that the talented defender can be acquired for mere €5 million given that his current employers are going through serious financial difficulty.
Marcos Rojo has also managed to nail down a starting berth in the national team, making 8 appearances in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
