Serie A outfit Inter Milan have submitted an official proposal for Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian, Leggo has suggested.
The Nerazzurri are ready to offer the Italy international an escape route from Old Trafford and a January deal seems on the horizon.
According to Leggo, Inter Milan have offered to pay €1 million for a season-long loan, whereas the buy-out clause would be set to €13-14 million.
It is believed that Manchester United want €18 million for the permanent deal, but an agreement could be reached in the coming weeks.
Having been deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, Darmian is keen to leave the Red Devils at the earliest opportunity and a return to Serie A appears on the cards.
The 26-year-old hasn’t made a single Premier League appearance this season, despite featuring in 28 league fixtures last term and scoring one goal in the process.
