Inter Milan have opened negotiations with FC Porto over turning Rolando’s loan move into permanent deal, reports Tuttosport.
The 28-year-old arrived to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in a low-profile switch from Porto having earlier had a disappointing spell at Napoli.
Rolando indeed struggled to prove his worth at Inter, but eventually nailed down a regular starting berth and has already made 19 league starts this season, scoring 3 goals in the process.
As a result, the Nerazzurri have started talks with the Portuguese club in an attempt to sign the experienced defender on a permanent deal.
Inter already have the option to buy out the player’s rights for €6 million, but they want to renegotiate the clause given that Rolando has just over a year left on his contract at Estadio do Dragao.
The Nerazzurri host Torino on Sunday looking to build on the goalless draw at Roma, and they are 1/2 favourites to claim maximum points.
