Inter Milan CEO Guiseppe Marotta has told DAZN (via Sky Sports) that the club would have to evaluate the situation surrounding Christian Eriksen between now and the opening of the January transfer window.
Not even a full year has gone by since the attacking midfielder left Tottenham Hotspur and joined Inter as a big-name signing, and he already appears to have regretted the move. He has recently openly complained about lack of game-time under Antonio Conte, while the head coach made it perfectly clear he would not be selecting his team to satisfy one player.
And Marotta has obviously backed Conte’s stance on the matter. He pointed out that Eriksen is still at Conte’s disposal for the time being and that the 28-year-old had made no request to leave so far, but he admitted that ‘the right combinations’ would have to be found when the time comes and added that the club has no intention of forcing a player to stay against his wishes.
