La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan are ready to submit an official proposal for PSG star Ezequiel Lavezzi.
It is no secret that the Argentine forward will leave the Saints either in January or next summer, as his contract is due to expire in June.
And after his move to Chelsea reportedly fell through, Lavezzi could be returning to Italian Serie A, where Inter Milan lead the chase for his signature.
The Nerazzurri have decided to make a move now rather than wait for the player’s contract to expire and a €6 million asking price is unlikely to prove a problem.
Inter Milan plan to wrap up the deal quickly so as not to allow other interested sides time to act and it remains to be seen whether they will succeed in their quest.
Ezequiel Lavezzi, 30, has spent last three and a half years at Parc des Princes, bagging 22 goals in 106 Ligue 1 games.
