Inter will make a €12million bid for Fluminense defender Thiago Silva in the January transfer window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri boss Jose Mourinho is looking to strengthen his team in January and have already decided on making a move for Silva.
The agent of the highly rated Brazilian defender will travel to Milan this week for talks with Inter director Marco Branca, according to reports.
Silva is keen on a return to Europe, following unsuccessful spells at Dinamo Moscow in 2005 and Porto in 2004.
Silva has also been linked with Real Madrid, Hamburg and Tottenham in recent weeks. It is believed that Inter will face competition from one or more of these clubs in January.
