Inter look set to reignite their interest in Genoa defender Sime Vrsaljko, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The Neroazzurri have been keeping close tabs on the Croatian full-back for a while now, but the player ended up joining Genoa as Inter officials were pursuing other targets.
However, having failed in their quest to sign a right-sided full-back in the summer, the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza outfit plan to return for Vrsaljko.
Sky Sport Italia reveals that Walter Mazzarri will have the player scouted until the end of the season, with the experienced coach hoping to sign him next summer.
Vrsaljko, 21, largely impressed at the start of his career at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, proving that he has what it takes to play in one of Europe’s strongest leagues.
Inter officials are also hoping his former teammate Mateo Kovacic will help persuade the talented footballer to join him at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
