Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Inter are weighing up a move for Cagliari forward Victor Ibarbo.
The Neroazzurri had taken notice of the young Colombian earlier in the season, but it was the player’s excellent showing against Andrea Stramaccioni’s men that could earn him a move to Giuseppe Meazza.
Inter officials were impressed by the player’s speed and ability to take players on and they are now seriously thinking about a summer purchase.
Ibarbo, who can play as a centre forward or on either wing, joined Cagliari in a €2 million deal from Atletico Nacional in the summer of 2011, but hasn’t quite managed to nail down a regular starting berth.
The 22-year-old has featured in 28 Serie A games this season, starting 18 of those, and scored a total of 4 goals in the process.
Besides Ibarbo, Inter are also looking at Radja Nainggolan, Marco Sau and Davide Astori.
