Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Inter Milan are considering a January bid for Torino full-back Matteo Darmian.
The Nerazzurri signed Danilo D’Ambrosio from Torino in January 2014 and they look set to bring his replacement to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza a year later.
While D’Ambrosio has failed to prove his worth at Inter, his former teammate has largely impressed over the year or so, having nailed down a regular starting berth in the national team, starting all three matches at the 2014 World Cup before making another three starts in the Euro 2016 qualifiers.
Inter officials believe good relations with Torino chairman Urbano Cairo will help them get their man, although I Granata are likely to require between €10m and €12m for their star player.
Despite starting his career at AC Milan, Matteo Darmian is likely to be tempted by the prospect of joining Inter, having spent last three and a half years at Stadio Olimpico.
