Inter Milan have given up hope on signing Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko in the January transfer window, but could make a move for him at the end of the season, Talk Sport reports.
Dzeko has already notched ten English Premier League goals this campaign and has been the main man going forward for the champions in recent weeks, so they do not want to sell him this month.
The Bosnian looked as though he was on the way out of the club last summer after a frustrating season, but now, Roberto Mancini is desperate to keep him at the Etihad Stadium.
Inter were one of the teams that were keen on Dzeko last year and they could look to make a move for him when the domestic campaign draws to a close.
The Serie A giants are after a new front-man that is a proven goalscorer, which of course the former Wolfsburg man is.
It is going to take a substantial amount of money to secure his services though and if he continues to score goals, then City might not want to let him go for any price.
It is certainly a story to keep an eye on in the next few months.
