Luc Castaignos’ agent insists the young Inter striker is unlikely to leave the club in the transfer period.
Karim el Atmani, who represents Castaignos together with Arie Treffers, said there was plenty of interest in the 19-year-old, with a number of recent reports suggesting that Inter are ready to farm him out on loan to another Serie A club, with Bologna, Parma, Siena, Cesena and Novara all keeping tabs on him.
However, the player’s representative has now made it clear that the Giuseppe Meazza side do not want to ship out the striker in the January transfer window.
“It is true that several clubs have shown an interest in signing him on loan in January,” El Atmani said.
“However, Inter do not want to loan out Luc this winter as they see him as a valuable first-team member. Additionally, Luc himself isn’t interested in leaving the club either and wants to prove his worth.”
Castaignos joined Inter from Feyenoord in the summer of 2011 and has since scored once in four Serie A appearances.
