Three goals in less than 20 first-half minutes set China up for a 3-0 friendly victory over Estonia on Saturday.
China claimed their third win in four matches as they continued their improvement under manager Gao Hongbo at the Tianhe Stadium in Guangzhou.
Captain Du Wei led by example and scored the game’s opening goal after 17 minutes.
Midfielder Yu Hai, who plies his trade with Chinese Super League side Shaanxi Zhongjian, doubled the hosts’ lead two minutes later.
The rout was complete when striker Yang Xu smashed in a third after 38 minutes.
Estonia, who had not lost on the road since June, managed to stem the flow of Chinese attacks in the second half, but could not find a way back into the match.
