Colombia beat 10-man Senegal 2-0, while Sudan shocked Kenya 2-1 in international friendly fixtures on Saturday.

Colombia’s victory was sealed by an impressive first half in which they scored both goals.

Hercules midfielder Abel Aguilar opened the scoring after 17 minutes and the match was as good as over when Camilo Zuniga provided the assist for striker Jackson Martinez’s 43rd-minute goal.

Senegal had defender Ass Mandaw Sy sent from the pitch just four minutes into the second half, but Colombia could not utilise their numerical advantage to extend the scoreline.

In the day’s other match, Sudan emerged victorious despite playing a team that was made up of mostly under-23 players.

In front of a sold-out stadium in Nairobi, Sudan took a fifth-minute lead through Mohammed Musa’s header.

Kenya grabbed a quick equaliser through Auxerre midfielder Dennis Oliech, but Bakrir Abdelgadir’s unstoppable strike – which also came in the first half – sealed the result.
