Inter are trying to sign Frank Lampard from Chelsea, but the English club are not so willing to let go of their vice-captain. The Italian giants have reportedly had a of £8 million rejected, but now it looks like they will make another, significantly improved, bid.
According to a report in The Observer, Inter are willing to offer Chelsea Adriano plus cash in a £15 million offer.ÂÂ
“Mourinho and Adriano have met and talked, but I can’t say how this meeting went. The player is flying back from Rio de Janeiro to Milan next week, as the pre-season starts on Wednesday. I will neither confirm nor deny that he will be exchanged for Lampard.” Said Adriano’s agent as reported by The Observer.
The Brazilian forward was once regarded as one of the brightest talents in world football, but the tragic death of his father changed all that. Now, after a loan spell at Sao Paolo, the strong forward seems to have regained a bit of his old magic.
Scolari would be keen to add a striker of Adriano’s stature to his team after it emerged that Real Madrid are unwilling to sell Robinho – Chelsea’s prime transfer target this summer.
