Inzaghi extends Lazio deal

Lazio head coach Simone Inzaghi has signed a brand new contract to ensure he remains at the club until at least 2021. Inzaghi had been strongly linked with a move to Juventus during the summer transfer window, but those links are now seemingly dead in the water. Inzaghi has done a solid job at Lazio this season, with many fans believing that he can once again turn them into one of the best clubs in Italian football. Juventus are currently the top dogs in Italy closely followed by the likes of Napoli and Inter Milan, but as time goes on, it definitely feels like Lazio have the infrastructure necessary to make a run for the title. That probably won’t end up being the case for the upcoming season, but in the next few years, they’ll definitely be in with a shout if Inzaghi is given the funds necessary to keep building and improving the squad.
