Competition: Championship
Market: Ipswich and Middlesbrough to draw
Odds: 1/1 @ Betfair

Ipswich Town host Middlesbrough in the Championship tonight, and are hoping they can continue their fine form by pulling off an impressive scalp. The Tractor Boys are currently breathing down the necks of the sides currently in the playoff places, and a win this evening would see Town move into the top-six at Birmingham City’s expense.

As for Middlesbrough, the second-placed side could go top of the Championship if they can win at Portman Road, but it won’t be easy given the fine run of form Mick McCarthy’s side are enjoying in recent weeks. Boro has been hit and miss away from home at times while Ipswich have been near impossible to beat in their own backyard.

Ahead of this evening’s clash, Ipswich have lost just one game at Portman Road all season, but have picked up too many draws in front of their own fans. Town are enjoying a six-game unbeaten run at home but Middlesbrough have suffered defeat in three of their last five games so Aitor Karanka’s cold well come unstuck when the two sides lock horns.

Middlesbrough suffered defeat to promotion-chasers Hull City recently, but have bounced back with two wins. They will go to Portman Road in search of all three points, while their opponents Town may settle for a share of the spoils instead. Ipswich have drawn the majority of their home games this season, and would regard a stalemate against the current runners-up as a job well done.

Boro have been full of goals in the Championship, and Ipswich’s defence has been leaky at times. The home side are boasting three wins and a draw from their last four games, however, so they are no slouches ahead of tonight’s meeting, but Middlesbrough have looked back to their best in recent weeks.
