Ipswich offer Collison short term deal

Ipswich Town have offered a short term deal to out-of-contract midfielder Jack Collison, according to Sky Sports.

The 25 year old has been without a club since leaving West Ham United at the end of last season, having spent the last part of the campaign on loan at Wigan Athletic.

He has been training with both Ipswich and Birmingham City, and it is the former who are set to sign him up until January.

Bar temporary spells with Wigan and Bournemouth, Collison had spent his entire career so far with Hammers, racking up one hundred and thirteen appearances in all competitions, scoring fourteen goals while internationally he has been capped seventeen times for Wales.

Ipswich beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 on Tuesday evening to rise to tenth place, and just two points off sixth place Reading.

They travel to Wigan Athletic on Monday evening, where they can be backed at 3/1 for the victory.
