Ipswich Town are interested in signing Liam Delap from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, but so are Southampton, according to talkSPORT. The report has claimed that City, who won the Premier League title last season, have agreed deals with both Ipswich and Southampton for £20 million.
Both Southampton and Ipswich will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship at the end of the last campaign. The Saints and the Tractors are looking to sign a new forward, and 21-year-old City and England Under-21 international forward Delap is a player they both want.
TalkSPORT has reported that Delap was at Ipswich’s training ground early this week. The Tractor Boys think that they are the favourites to secure the services of the forward. The youngster spent last season on loan at Hull. Delap scored eight goals and provided two assists in 26 starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship in 2023-24.
