Is Jurgen Klopp the next superstar boss?

Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he has no interest in joining Premier League Chelsea.

Klopp is regarded as one of best up and coming young bosses in Europe and was being linked with the Blues hotseat.

Denial

The talented Dortmund boss told German television: “ I can turn them down straight away. I will not be moving there. But I do think it is cool that I am being named in the same breath as Mourinho and Guardiola. That is enough for me – that is already a personal triumph. But I am not available, sorry.”

Talented

Jurgen Klopp is a talented boss having guided his young Dortmund team to the Bundesliga title last season and keeping them at a similar level this season, despite a sticky start to the season. Not only has he got Dortmund winning but playing an attractive brand of football as well.

This brand of football is very similar to that of the German national team. Klopp is seen as the heir apparent to the German national team’s hot seat. Klopp has a football philosophy and I’m sure he will stick to it through thick and thin.

Young

Despite being just 44 Klopp has managed to turn Dortmund into a team capable of challenging the goliaths of German football Bayern Munich. The Bavarians have been inconsistent in recent years and Dortmund have taken advantage of that inconsistency under Klopp.

Klopp has assembled a young hungry team on a meagre budget and moulded them into an attractive, effective unit. Since winning last seasons Bundesliga title he has been linked with the Bayern Munich job, as well as the Chelsea job.

Killer

As Klopp has stated he is currently not interested in the vacant position at Stamford Bridge and I think that’s a very wise decision. At Dortmund he has built a team of his own without much interference from the clubs hierarchy.

However at Chelsea he would have owner Roman Abramovich to contend with. As I heard one of my colleagues state,  the Chelsea job could kill his career. Chelsea is no place for an up and coming young head coach. It’s a managerial graveyard.

Ambitious

Klopp strikes me as an ambitious guy but it seems he feels like he could fulfil some of his ambitions at the Westfalenstadion. This seasons Champions League campaign was very disappointing as Dortmund finished bottom of their group.

With Dortmund leading the Bundesliga table by five points it looks likely that Klopp’s team will again be in the Champions League next season. The young boss will be hoping that his side can achieve better results in next seasons competition.

Bigger

Klopp’s work at Dortmund was bound to attract admiring glances from elsewhere and he has a bright future ahead of him. Sooner or later he will move onto a bigger challenge, maybe at Bayern or maybe in the Premier League.

He is an intelligent young boss, who can go on to achieve great things in football. He may not be able to guide Dortmund to Champions League glory next season but I’m sure in time he will achieve bigger greater things than just winning Bundesliga titles. Although that is an achievement in itself.

Stay

I really hope that Jurgen Klopp stays at Dortmund and doesn’t move to a club that will ruin his reputation. He has done a really good job at Dortmund and he deserves immense credit. For Jurgen Klopp the futures bright, the futures yellow.
