Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco does not want to leave in the January transfer window, according to Marca. The Spanish publication has claimed that Isco knows that he will not get a new contract at Madrid, and that he will have to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2022 as a free agent. However, the 29-year-old still does not want to leave the Spanish and European giants in the middle of the season.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs linked with Isco, who won the La Liga title twice and the Champions League on four occasions with Madrid. With Isco not willing to leave now, a move for the former Malaga attacking midfielder on a free transfer at the end of the season would be more sensible for interested clubs.
Isco has made two starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for Madrid so far this season, scoring one goal in the process. The Madrid no. 22 made eight starts and 17 substitute appearances in the league and one start and two substitute appearances in the Champions League in 2020-21.
