Isla nears Inter switch
Turin based Tuttosport understands that Chilean defender Mauricio Isla is closing in on his move to Inter Milan.
According to the same source, the Nerazzurri have successfully agreed a €7 million deal with Juventus for 50% of the player’s rights.
However, they still need to reach an agreement with Udinese, a club that owns the other half of the defender’s contract.
Isla has already struck personal terms with the Nerazzurri, having accepted a four-year contract worth €1.5 million per campaign.
It is believed Udinese will not stand in the player’s way as he looks to complete a switch to Giuseppe Meazza, with the Zebrette ready to cash in on the Chilean.
At the time when the Friulani sold 50% of the player’s contract to Juventus for €9 million, Isla was considered one of the top full-backs in Serie A, but his price has dropped following a very disappointing campaign in Turin.
Lyon striker linked to Hull
Lyon forward Jimmy Briand is on the radar of newly promoted Hull City, according to French daily L’Equipe.
The Tigers are reportedly showing interest in the 27-year-old as they aim to reinforce the attacking department before the start of the season.
Steve Bruce has made several signings this summer, but his attempts to sign a high-profile forward have failed to materialize.
Jimmy Briand could be available on a cut-price deal seeing as how he is no longer in the first team plans of boss Remi Garde.
The former France international joined Lyon in a €6 million deal from Rennes, and he enjoyed a very good start to his career at Stade Gerland.
However, he lost his place in the side last season due to a serious injury and didn’t even make a single appearance for the club since April 2013.
Feyenoord confirm interest in Assaidi
Feyenoord manager Ronald Koeman has revealed that he expects Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi at De Kuip in the coming days.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to loan the talented footballer after he failed to impress in his first season at Anfield and Eredivisie return looks likely.
PSV Eindhoven were believed to be keen on the Moroccan, but it looks as though he will be joining Feyenoord instead.
“I hope he comes around soon,” Feyenoord boss Ronald Koeman told Voetbal International. “We just have to wait and see whether it is feasible.”
Assaidi, 24, joined Liverpool in a £2.4 million deal last summer following two very impressive seasons at Heerenveen.
However, he has since failed to prove his worth at Anfield, making just four substitute appearances in the English Premier League.
