Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola is reporting that Sporting CP are weighing up January bid for Leicester City forward Islam Slimani.
The Lions are well aware of the fact that their former player is struggling for playing time at King Power Stadium and they will attempt to lure him back to Estadio Jose Alvalade.
The good news is that Sporting had secured the right of first refusal when they sold the striker to Leicester City for €30 million, but the Foxes will certainly want a big portion of the money invested in the Algerian.
Having only started one Premier League fixture this season, Slimani is looking to leave King Power Stadium and a return to Portugal would definitely appeal to him.
Meanwhile, the Lions want to add another quality forward to Bas Dost, considering that Seydou Doumbia is almost certain to leave in January.
