Leicester City striker Islam Slimani is being linked with a summer move to Estadio Jose Alvalade, according to A Bola.
The 29-year-old has utterly failed to justify the €30 million invested in his services and it would appear as though his spell at King Power Stadium is drawing to a close.
After scoring just one goal in 12 Premier League outings for Leicester last season, Slimani joined Newcastle United on loan, but also struggled at St James’s Park.
And with star striker Bas Dost expected to leave this summer, Sporting CP are ready to offer the Algerian an escape route from King Power.
The Lions hope to agree a loan deal with Leicester City that may include an option to buy, while they are also keen on another former player Ricardo Quaresma, who is tipped to leave Besiktas in the coming months.
