The experienced Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor has found a new club as the former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham forward has reportedly signed a one-and-and-a-half-year deal with the Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.
A picture of Emmanuel Adebayor wearing the Istanbul Basaksehir shirt has been doing rounds on the social media and a deal is expected to be confirmed on Tuesday.
Adebayor was without a club ever since his short-lived spell at Crystal Palace back in 2016, when the 32-year-old striker made 12 Premier league appearances and scored one goal for the Selhurst Park side.
The experienced striker is coming off from the Africa Cup of Nations with Togo, having made three appearances during the group stage and proving his fitness to his new employers.
Istanbul Basaksehir have been one of the biggest surprises in the Turkish Super Lig this season, as the club is currently sitting in second place, trailing leaders Besiktas by two points.
Instabul BB have emerged as serious title candidates and are hoping that Emmanuel Adebayor’s experience could help them achieve what would be considered a major coup.
