Serie A champions Juventus have moved to confirm their interest in Genoa wonderkid Pietro Pellegri.
The 16-year-old has been in high demand for quite some time and the impressive brace against Lazio did nothing to hurt his growing reputation.
Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and AS Roma are all believed to be keen on his services, and the Bianconeri were the first to confirm their interest.
General manager Giuseppe Marotta claims the club made the initial contact a while back, and they continue to monitor his progress.
“Pellegri? We’ve been following the lad for two years. We sounded him out, but the figures back then were far lower than what they are now,” Marotta told Premium Sport.
“He’s among the best players of his generation, but he still has to become a champion.”
Pietro Pellegri only made five Serie A appearances so far, starting two of those games, but he managed to score three goals in the process.
