Italian giants keeping tabs on Alvaro Negredo
AC Milan and Genoa are weighing up move for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo, according to Marca.
The 26-year-old has been in lethal form this season, scoring three goals in two league games for Sevilla, while bagging a brace for Spain in 6:0 win over Liechtenstein.
The interest in the player is hotting up, and Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido recently revealed the club have rejected an offer worth €30 million for his services.
According to Marca, a number of Serie A clubs is keen on the Spain international, with Milan and Genoa leading the race.
Rubin Kazan is also being mentioned as a possible destination for the player who has two years left on his deal at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Sevilla are desperate to keep hold of their prized asset with the club officials set to offer the player a contract extension that would guarantee him an increase in wages.
Arsenal in talks for Dani Parejo
Arsenal are lining up move for Valencia midfielder Daniel Parejo, Marca has revealed.
The Gunners are looking to further reinforce the squad in January and have identified Parejo as one of their targets.
The 22-year-old midfielder has only joined Valencia this summer, but he doesn’t seem to be in Unai Emery’s plans.
The former Getafe star has yet to make his La Liga debut for los Che and is likely to be allowed to leave in January.
Arsenal officials met with the player’s representatives in Madrid yesterday to discuss a possible transfer.
The player is aware of the fierce competition for places at Mestalla and is reportedly looking to leave in search for first team football.
Parejo wouldn’t have problems adapting to the new surroundings, having played for Queens Park Rangers in the Championship some few years ago.
Redknapp reveals Gomes set to leave Spurs
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that Heurelho Gomes will probably quit White Hart Lane in January.
The Brazilian keeper lost his starting place after the arrival of veteran Brad Friedel and has now fallen down the pecking order behind Carlo Cudicini as well.
The Italian keeper featured in last two Europa League ties, with Gomes making his first appearance this season in the Carling Cup clash against Stoke.
Gomes is clearly not happy with the current situation and Redknapp admits he is likely to leave in January.
“I would think he won’t be happy,” Redknapp was quoted as saying in The Mirror.
“He wants to play at the World Cup with Brazil, so it’s going to be a problem. We’ll wait until the next window and see where that takes us.
“He’s done nothing wrong. He’s a fantastic goalkeeper and a great pro. I just went with Carlo in Greece – and he was magnificent.
“I’m very lucky I have three top goalkeepers here and it’s unlucky for the two not in the team. They would get in other teams, for sure. He trains great every day.”
