La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that a number of Italy’s top sides are showing interest in FC Basel forward Breel Embolo.
The 18-year-old is slowly becoming an important player for both club and country and it is perfectly clear that he will soon be joining a top European side.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg are keeping close tabs on the talented footballer, but several Serie A sides have joined the race as well.
Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma are closely monitoring Embolo’s performances, while Fiorentina could make a move as well with their new coach Paulo Sousa having coached the youngster.
The problem is that FC Basel have no plans to cash in on their prized possession before the Euro 2016 as they expect the player’s value to soar after the showpiece tournament.
Embolo scored one goal in five Euro 2016 qualifiers and he had a big role to play in helping Switzerland come from two goals behind to defeat Slovenia.
