A number of Serie A sides are hot on the trail of Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello, Tuttosport has suggested.
The 24-year-old is widely expected to leave Bergamo in the summer at the latest and it looks as though he will be staying in Italy.
Atalanta appear to be already preparing for life after Sportiello as Lazio loanee Etrit Berisha is now the first choice goalkeeper, meaning the talented shot-stopper could leave as early as January.
Tuttosport claims that Napoli and Fiorentina are the favourites for the player’s signature considering that the two clubs are far from happy with the likes of Reina and Tatarusanu respectively.
Marco Sportiello is yet another impressive product of Atalanta’s youth academy and he has so far made 79 Serie A appearances for Orobici.
Sportiello has got another three and a half years left on the current deal, meaning he will not be available on the cheap.
