Italy 1/3 to see past Azerbaijan in tonight’s Euro 2016 qualifier

Italy travel to face Azerbaijan this evening for their penultimate group game of the Euro 2016 qualifiers. The Azzurri are currently top of the table and in fine form, while their opposition have been the whipping boys of Group H. As a result, Italy are favourites to come away with maximum points at the Bakı Olimpiya Stadionu, and victory would book their place in next year’s European Championships.

Coming off the back of consecutive group wins, while enjoying an unbeaten campaign so far, Italy are in great shape to pick up their third win on the bounce. Away from home, they’ve picked up eight points from their last four games in the qualifiers, and beat their opponents 2-1 when they locked horns for the first time in the group.

As for the visitors, Azerbaijan’s form has been indifferent. They haven’t lost in their last four games, but they have picked up only one group win all through the campaign. The away side haven’t been too full of goals either, and have struggled even against the lesser teams in the table.

As a result, Ladbrokes are giving odds of 1/3 for Italy to pick up all three points away to Azerbaijan tonight to seal their place in the 2016 European Championships.
