Palermo full-back Federico Balzaretti has refused to deny allegations that he is set for January move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Saints were linked with a last minute move for Palermo defender, but the Serie A outfit refused to negotiate the sale with the French club.
Paris Saint-Germain are still in need of reinforcements for the left-back position and they are not giving up on Balzaretti.
The French club is hoping the fact that Balzaretti’s wife, Eleonora Abbagnato, is a prima ballerina at the Paris Opera will help them persuade the 29-year-old into joining their ranks.
“Am I going to Paris and PSGin January? This is not true, but in football you never know,” Balzaretti told RAI.
“There was this interest, but now I only think of Palermo, and then what happens, happens.
”I am not the one who thinks now about what will happen in six months or a year.”
