Italian World Cup winner Luca Toni said Thursday he is also ready to quit Bayern Munich for a Spanish or English club when the transfer window reopens in January to win back his Azzurri place.
“I am also ready to go to England or Spain,” Toni told German magazine Kicker having already said a return to Italy is another possibility.
Having been in the Italian team which won the 2006 World Cup in Germany, Toni has found himself on the bench at Bayern Munich this season having lost favour with their Dutch coach Louis van Gaal.
Toni, 32, is desperate to win back his place in the Azzurri with the next World Cup to be held in South Africa from June 11 to July 11 next year.
The striker has dropped numerous hints about a return to Italy, but Bayern president Uli Hoeness revealed this week he has not received any offers for the 32-year-old Italian.
Having joined Bayern from Fiorentina in the summer of 2007, Toni was the Bundesliga’s top scorer in the 2007/08 season.
But he suffered from an achilles tendon injury last term and has made just four Bundesliga appearances this season.
