It’s beginning to look a lot like January!

Its that time of the year again, just before the winter transfer window opens when the rumour mill goes into overdrive.

Everybody who is anybody seems to be linked with a move elsewhere.

Usually I don’t tend to pay much attention to the transfer gossip this time of year but I thought I’d get into the spirit of things this year. So here are just some of the rumours circulating.

Tevez

I just wish the Argentinian would go away and not come back to these shores. I am sick to the back teeth of him and his situation. AC Milan are believed to be interested in signing the striker but only on a loan deal.

Oil-rich French club PSG however are believed to be keen on signing the Argentinian on a permanent basis and are reportedly willing to pay in the region of £20million for Tevez.

Serie A giants Juventus are also reportedly keen on Tevez and have money to spend. Hopefully a deal will be done and one of the longest running sagas in English football will be at an end.

Donnelly

According to reports in the media Premier League outfits Swansea City and Everton have both agreed fees for Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly.

Both clubs have been given permission to speak to the youngsters agent and he is expected to make a decision in the next 48 hours. The 19 year-old Northern Irish striker has been in good goal scoring form this season and could get his chance in the Premier League come January.

Tiote

Newcastle midfield enforcer Cheikh Tiote has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recently months. However Magpies boss Alan Pardew has warned his suitors that it would be ‘very, very difficult’ for clubs to sign the Ivory Cast star in January.

Meaning that Newcastle will probably want a huge amount of money for one of their star players.

If the big clubs want him that much though they are likely to pay Newcastle’s asking price. One thing that is guaranteed is that it will be a lot more than the £3.5million the Toon paid to sign him.

Torres

One man who is likely to stay put this January is Chelsea striker Fernando Torres. The striker has failed to find his form since his £50million move from Liverpool and has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

However Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that he has faith in his expensive flop and stated that he will not be leaving the Blues this January. I don’t think any clubs would willing to go anywhere Chelsea’s asking price for the striker in January anyway.

Pieters

Highly-rated Dutch defender Erik Pieters has been linked with a big money move to Premier League club Newcastle. However his club PSV have revealed that the Dutch international isn’t for sale in January.

The Magpies may have to wait until the summer transfer window to sign the 23 year old. Newcastle boss Alan Pardew hasn’t been able to replace Jose Enrique at left-back but Ryan Taylor has been filling in admirably in the position.

Start

The January transfer window hasn’t even opened and already the gossip has hit fever pitch. When the transfer window shuts there will have been a mass of players moving to new clubs.
