AS Roma forward Juan Manuel Iturbe could be moving to English Premier League at the end of the season, according to his official representative.
Despite arriving as a marquee signing last summer, the Argentine has largely struggled for playing time at Stadio Olimpico, and numerous injury problems certainly did not help.
Iturbe’s agent has revealed that his client is unhappy at the lack of confidence shown in his abilities, hinting that the 21-year-old might be leaving the Giallorossi in favour of a switch to England.
“He is a Roma player. Iturbe is a champion who had a difficult campaign due to injuries,” agent Gustavo Mascardi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“The Roma technical staff don’t understand him and did not put their faith in him. He hasn’t played from the start many times at all.
“Could he leave? There are some very good offers from England for him. It depends on the lad and the club to decide what they’ll do at the end of the season.”
Juan Manuel Iturbe made a name for himself during a loan spell with Hellas Verona, who then purchased him from FC Porto only to sell him for profit.
The youngster was given a chance to impress at Stadio Olimpico, starting 12 Serie A games and making another five substitute appearances, but he could only manage one goal in the process.
