La Liga outfit Real Betis have been linked with Cadiz defender Ivan Kecojevic who is eyed as an emergency replacement for injured Zouhair Feddal.
The 28-year-old Morocco international suffered a season-ending injury in his team’s 2-1 victory over Villarreal and is set to miss out on his country’s World Cup appearance in Russia. Feddal joined Real Betis last summer from Alaves and has enjoyed a fine form until the injury, making 15 competitive outings and netting three goals for the Verdiblancos.
Spanish media claim that Betis have identified Cadiz rock-solid defender as the ideal replacement for Feddal, following his impressive spell in La Liga this season.
The Montenegro international has commanded the backline of Los Gaditanos throughout the campaign and has played a key role in his team’s 5-3 Copa Del Rey triumph over Real Betis earlier in the season.
Diario de Cadiz reports that Los Verdiblancos have been closely watching the 29-year-old ever since and that they are ready to make a move to sign him.
