Sanfrecce Hiroshima were held to a 0-0 draw at home by the J.League’s bottom side Avispa Fukuoka on Monday.

Neither team found a way to end the deadlock over the course of 90 minutes at the Hiroshima Big Arch.

The draw leaves Sanfrecce ninth, eight points behind league leaders Yokohama after 17 matches played.

Avispa, promoted to the J.League after finishing third in Division One last season, remain bottom, 10 points adrift of safety.
